Truly God is good to all. He has revealed himself and his grace to us by sending his only Son Jesus. John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him."
He always has been full of compassion & mercy. What would become of us, if God should deal so with us as per our sin? The Scripture says a great deal, of the mercy of God, and we all have experienced it. Sirach 2:18 May we fall into the hands of the Lord and not into the hands of men, because his mercy is as great as his majesty.
As far as the east is from the west - As far as possible; as far as we can imagine. These are the points in our apprehension most distant from each other, and as we can conceive nothing beyond them, so the meaning is, that we cannot imagine our sins could be more effectually removed than they are through the mercy of the Father & Blood of Jesus.
