Psalms 33:3

Sing to Him a new song!

Play skillfully amid shouts of joy

We are indeed blessed with so much, from the hands of God. Each day comes with new graces and mercies from the Most High. Each day we learn more about our creator and His immense love for us. Each day He strengthens and nourishes us and reveals Himself to us. Each day He  mercifully and lovingly forgives us our wrongs and imparts to us an amazing grace to rise out of our weaknesses. Each day He continues renewing us to grow in His image and likeness. It is only apt for us to respond to Him with our praise, our thanks and our life of worship. 

The psalmist exhorts us to sing to our Lord a new song, recounting these immense blessings we receive from His bounty each day. He challenges us to see in our lives the very tangible Hand of God working ever so mightily; inspiring us, guiding us and lifting us ever time we fall. And out of this gratitude to Him burst out in a shout of joy so that all men might know of the marvels He has worked in our lives.

We must always remember that Our God has no need of our praise, yet our desire to thank Him is itself His gift. Our prayer of thanksgiving adds nothing to His greatness, but makes us grow in His grace.

Let us humbly pray the The Lord may continue to bless us with the gift of praise and grant us the grace to skillfully make a joyful song of love to Him, all the days of our pilgrim life here on Earth and for all eternity in His presence in the age to come.
